To be able to get an notion of how to use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast two people, you have to get a grasp of what a Venn Diagram is and the way it functions. Of course, most of us recognize that it is supposed to help us see that the relations between things and set them in relation to one another. However, does it do so?
If you understand what a Venn Diagram is and why it's used, you are going to start seeing how it can be employed to show us the way to use it to compare and contrast two individuals. Fundamentally, a Venn Diagram is a diagram that uses different circles or horizontal lines to reveal the different areas of connections. Some diagrams comprise of a single circle, while some are made up of many distinct circles. We will concentrate on the two main methods of creating a Venn Diagram.
First, a Venn Diagram can be drawn by grouping similar objects together in 1 area. Then, they can be placed at the end of the horizontal line to create a vertical line. A straight vertical line is then used to show the place where two different objects come into contact. A Good Example of a Venn Diagram is shown below:
The next method to make a Venn Diagram is to have different groups of objects positioned at opposite ends of the flat line. For instance, let us say that you were to draw a Venn Diagram of the family. The diagram could be composed of circles with the title of each child in the middle of this line.
The horizontal line then would demonstrate the association between the children's names. Next, you'd choose the names of the parents, set them in the center of the horizontal line, then place one circle in each circle to reveal the different members of the family. For instance, if the family consists of six people, you'd draw circles to demonstrate the various members of the household in the names of every individual. These circles would go from left to right from the diagram.
To begin with, you need to take a sheet of paper and write down the titles of those 2 individuals you need to compare. Now, use a pencil to mark the areas of the paper that will be used to create the Venn Diagram.
Draw the different areas of the Venn Diagram, including the flat line which will connect the groups of those two objects. Then, write the names of those people in each circle, bearing in mind that the names of these folks are going to be in the middle of the lines. Finally, place the children's titles at the center of the line so that the children's names will be the same as the parents' names at the diagram. Use a pencil to mark the regions where two individuals float or come together. You should now have a fairly clear diagram of how to use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast two people.
Just keep in mind that the vertical lines from the diagram will show the traces that join two different circles, and the horizontal lines will show the areas where two distinct circles meet.
